S. Hansen Closing Reception

Join Queermunity in celebrating our inaugural gallery exhibition artist, S. Hansen, at their closing reception! This event will honor the artistry and spirit of crafty queers. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Come mingle, connect with the community, and meet the artist.

About the Artist

S. Hansen is a gender-fluid public artist and zinester whose work explores their relationship with queerness, technology, home, care, and nostalgia. They have exhibited in solo and group shows locally and internationally and have co-curated local gallery exhibitions.

In 2023, S. co-founded the local newsletter Better Homes and Dykes with Elli Vega, which they now run together. S. considers BH&D a public artwork but also has a more traditional public art installation on display at Austin-Straubel Airport in Green Bay, WI.

Born in Madison, WI, S. now lives and works in Minneapolis, MN. Outside of their creative endeavors, you can find them curled up with their partner and two orange cats or diving into their latest hyper-fixation craft.
