Queer (re)Parenting

A facilitated support group for queer parents navigating the ways parenthood is illuminating the places where they parent from a place of lack or pain. Raising children often shows us the places in our own emotional and mental lives, and thus our bodies, where we still carry wounding. When we encounter a space of lack, or a skill that was never developed, or a trauma stored in our mind-body, we enter a process of reparenting in order to release and heal.

Healing, Resourcing, and Building Community

For those of us who are queer, the process of both becoming parents and parenting are more complicated and the needs more nuanced. Queer folks are far more likely to have had adverse childhood experiences and therefore the demand to reparent and heal is urgent.

The primary goal of this group is to resource and equip queer parents to self-heal and show up as the parent they desire to be. The secondary goal is to provide queer parents with a community of queer parent peers in similar places on their journey.
