The Nest Collective

Join us for a transformative and inclusive gathering created to support Black, Brown, and LGBTQIA+ birthing bodies. This event is the first in a series designed to provide a safe space to connect, share experiences, and build a strong sense of community. Each session will blend guided discussions, educational workshops, and interactive activities.

What to Expect

Together, we’ll explore topics like pregnancy, postpartum challenges, self-care, advocacy in medical settings, and partner support, with a focus on mental health, empowerment, and practical tools for thriving as parents or support systems. Fun and engaging activities, such as journaling, group meditations, and creative outlets, will encourage personal growth and connection in a family-like atmosphere.

Led by Shariah White—a trained doula, CMA, and maternal health advocate with Bebomia and Birth Revolution—these gatherings are informed by ancestral wisdom and a deep commitment to addressing the disparities Black and Brown birthing bodies face, particularly at the intersection of queerness. Shariah’s work is inspired by a lifelong passion for medical advocacy, starting with research into the experiences of incarcerated women giving birth and evolving into a dedication to ensuring equitable and compassionate care for all.

Leave each gathering with tangible resources, newfound confidence, and a sense of belonging. As a collective, we’ll ensure that no one feels alone on their journey.

Each group is limited to 10 registered participants. Each session is donation based and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
