Queermunity is a Queer-owned, led, and centered startup social enterprise dedicated to fostering connectedness and joy for LGBTQ+ individuals in Minnesota. Our vibrant space includes a community cafe, gathering areas, offices, and a range of programming aimed at creating a supportive and celebratory environment for our community. We are seeking a highly motivated, resourceful, and creative individual to join our team as a Program and Events Coordinator. What can you offer Queermunity?

● Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming, supportive, meaningful, professional and inclusive environment for guests, members, tenants, participants, partners and other community members.

● Proactively support and strengthen business partnerships and sponsorships, cultivating a robust network of support to achieve program and budget goals.

● Take ownership over ensuring smooth implementation of program and events plans. Collaborate with the team to deliver programming, analyze performance data, and adjust strategies as needed.

● Foster and nurture authentic professional relationships with community stakeholders, leaders, strategic partners, and internal team members.

● Manage position-related administrative tasks, ensuring timely follow-ups on CRM updates, communication inquiries, member needs and financial documentation.

● Provide coordination support to various contractors and collaborators, including but not limited to social media, program facilitators, events hosts, CRM, and IT for membership.

What do you need to be successful?

● Minimum of three years of experience in event coordination or program management.

● Demonstrated ability to work independently, set and attain goals, and utilize strong time management skills.

● Excellent relationship development and customer service skills.

● Strong self-care practices with the ability to set and maintain professional boundaries.

● Resourceful and solutions-oriented with a flexible, nonbinary mindset.

● Proficiency in Office or Google Suite, CRM databases, and event management software.

● Effective and proactive verbal and written communication skills.

● Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and operate basic office equipment.

● Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends.

● Deep understanding of the Twin Cities LGBTQ+ community, including its needs, trends, and leaders.
