Join us for an all-day Pride celebration with an accessible, sensory-friendly twist.

Quiet Riot is a unique Pride event centering queer joy, rest, and resistance through calm connection. Designed especially for neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive folks—but open to all—this event reimagines what celebration can look like.

 

What to Expect

✨ Resource Fair

Community resources and information will be available all day.

🛠️ Workshops

Focused on education, advocacy, relaxation, and crafts.

  • Sign-ups are day-of at the front desk — first come, first served.

  • Descriptions available in the daily program and in advance on our website.

  • Workshop titles are listed in the schedule below.

🎨 Open Crafts & 🧘 Lounge Room

  • Quiet room available for rest and reflection.

  • Open craft area with supplies, puzzles, and books to explore at your own pace.

🍴 Food & Drinks

  • Available for purchase at the café.

  • Water is always free.

🎶 Music

  • Begins at 5 PM

  • Includes a soft sound bath and electronic music meditation

  • Followed by a silent disco to end the evening on a high note!


🧠 Sensory Considerations

  • 🔇 Sound absorption, blocking, and masking systems in use

  • 🎵 No music or soft ambient sounds only

  • 🦻 Ear plugs available for anyone who needs them

  • 💡 Lights will be off or dimmed — no bright or flashing lights

  • 📸 Photos will be taken without flash

  • 🧶 Workshops have limited sign-ups and take place in dedicated, smaller rooms

  • 🛋️ A sensory room will be available for anyone needing a quiet break


♿ Accessibility Considerations

  • 😷 Masks are encouraged (not required) and available at the front desk

  • 🚪 Entry includes a door paddle and ramp

  • 🛗 Elevator access to the second floor

  • 🚻 Gender-neutral, accessible restrooms

  • 🐕‍🦺 Service animals welcome


🧏 Interpretation Services

  • On-demand ASL interpretation available for the café

👶 Family Needs

  • Parenting + prayer room with:

    • Baby changing station

    • Chair for nursing


🪑 Seating Options

  • Mix of couches with arms and chairs with and without arms for varied support
